windy & very heavy showers in the morning - windy & dry in the afternoon - overnight at Bridgwater Service Station (68 miles)
Day 4: windy & dry in the morning - windy & wet in the afternoon (downpour through the cheddar Gorge) - overnight at Castle View Hotel, Chepstow (74 miles)
Day 5: dry nearly all day, except the last dozen miles - overnight at The Gaskell Arms Hotel, Much Wenlock (87 miles)
Day 6: breezy, but dry - overnight at The Swan Hotel (Premier Inn), Bucklow Hill (75 miles)
Day 7: windy, cloudy & light rain in the morning - sunshine & lighter winds in the afternoon - overnight at the Springfield Hotel (B&B), Ingleton (80 miles)
Day 8: sunny & breezy in the morning - cloudy and showers all afternoon - overnight at the Premier Inn, Carlisle. (70 miles)

light rain, breezy (and cold over the Glencoe Pass) - showers in the afternoon then dry & sunny spells - overnight at the Drumnadrochit Hotel, Drumnadrochit (101 miles)
Day 13: sunshine nearly all day amp; turning colder - overnight at Bed & Breakfast, Lairg (90 miles: 60 miles to Lairg + 30 miles more)

dry and windy in the morning - very strong headwind & rain in the afternoon - overnight in The Royal Hotel, Thurso. (65 miles) (Thurso to John O'Groats - 20 miles)
